With the newly rebranded Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter joining Carnival Luminosa and Carnival Splendor in March 2025, Carnival Cruise Line has shared the latest updates aboard the ex-P&O Cruises Australia ships.
First of all, P&O fans will be happy to know the ships’ onboard dining and entertaining options will remain while introducing Carnival’s signature ‘Fun Ship’ vibe.
It echoes Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy’s interview with Karryon after the merger was announced, where she said: “…the same crew, the same guest experience that our guests enjoy and love will continue to be available”.

Popular P&O spots, such as the exclusive retreat, Byron Beach Club; The Edge Adventure Park; Luke Mangan’s speciality restaurant Luke’s Bar & Grill; Angelo’s and Dragon Lady, will stay on board along with the Blanc de Blanc show.
New additions aboard Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter include the brand-new Turtle Kids Club for children under two, free daily pizza served between 11am and 4pm and Carnival activities, such as Build-A-Bear workshops, Conga for Kids line dance party and ‘80s Rock-N-Glow nights.

Once rebranded, Carnival Adventure will sail year-round from Sydney, joining her sister ship, the newly refreshed Carnival Splendor.
Carnival Encounter will homeport in Brisbane all year round with Carnival Luminosa joining her during the summer season.
In 2025, nearly 600,000 guests are expected to sail from Sydney and Brisbane on Carnival ships.

Carnival Cruise Line VP Sales & Marketing ANZ Kara Glamore said: “This transition presents a unique opportunity to combine the best of P&O Cruises Australia and Carnival Cruise Line as the brand expands its footprint in Australia.”
“Carnival Cruise Line remains the only cruise line globally to demonstrate this level of commitment to Australia, sailing year-round and supporting thousands of local jobs while delivering unforgettable holiday experiences in Australia and the South Pacific,” she said.
Adventure and Encounter can be booked via pocruises.com.au until March 2025.
