She has won a Logie, a Walkley award and is also a member of the Order of Australia. She’s also a TV presenter, a journalist, an author, and a radio host. And now Melissa Doyle, has taken the helm as the Australian ambassador for Avalon Waterways.
Her first experience of luxury river cruising was with Avalon Waterways. And “she couldn’t have been more impressed”.
“From the crew’s attention to detail to the jaw-dropping Panorama Suites, and the variety of onshore excursions – I was utterly transported,” she says.
“It was a travel experience to remember.”
Doyle says she discovered “the serenity that comes with floating” along the Danube last year. And she shared her experiences with her social media audience. Avalon Waterways, part of the Globus Family of Brands, was in the spotlight.
Her time onboard and rave reviews led to the “natural progression” of Doyle’s appointment as Australian ambassador for the brand.
“We are very excited to welcome Melissa to our family,” Globus family of brands, Managing Director Asia Pacific, Gai Tyrrell says.
According to Tyrrell, Doyle is “one of the best-known and most trusted faces in Australian media”. And as such, the company is looking forward to sharing Avalon Waterways’ stories with her audience.
“[Doyle] truly embodies Avalon Waterways’ relaxed luxury values, including charity endeavours, something Avalon Waterways is committed to with our Lighthouse Project,” Tyrrell said.
As the Australian ambassador, Doyle will continue exploring the portfolio firsthand. And sharing her experiences.
This isn’t Doyle’s first gig as an ambassador. She is also an ambassador for Audi Australia and numerous charities including Make-A Wish Australia and World Vision.
