Cruisers celebrate! There’s now 49-feet more ‘Spirit’ on the sea after Silversea’s ship was LITERALLY cut in half and given the cruising version of a limb extension.
Silver Spirit completed her 59-day lengthening and refurbishment project this week, during which 1,000 workers spent 450,000 hours fitting the Silversea vessel with a whole new pre-built section.
Wow, guests had better appreciate the effort and sweat that went into that!
According to Silversea, the section was designed to bring Silversea‘s onboard experience in line with the cruise line’s recently launched flagship, Silver Muse.
This includes using the extra space to expand public areas and suites…
Enlarging the pool deck…
Adding four new dining options – Spaccanapoli, Silver Note, Atlantide, and Indochine…
And using the refurbishment as an opportunity to introduce a number of new amenities in areas such as the Zagara Spa, the Panorama Lounge, and the chic Dolce Vita lounge…
Silver Spirit will set off on her first ‘extended journey from Civitavecchia on 6 May.
