The 2015/16 wave season in Australia keeps getting bigger as Holland America (HAL) joins Royal Caribbean, Princess and P&O in sending new ships to the country.
HAL’s ms Noordam is one of seven new cruise ships to call Australia home this coming summer period. Others include Legend of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas, Golden Princess, Pacific Eden, Pacific Aria and Superstar Virgo.
Arriving in the Harbour City on 25 October, Noordam’s six-month stay will add some 1,916 beds to our local fleet.
During her stay the Vista-class vessel will operate nine roundtrips and six-one way departures.
Itineraries include sailings to the South Pacific, New Zealand as well as one 16-day Christmas cruise departing Sydney on 17 December.
Launched in 2006, Noordam is the newest Vista-class ship.
Noordam offers more Verandah rooms than other HAL ships.
She sets herself apart from other Holland America ships in the market by offering guests more Verandah staterooms, allowing even more guests to enjoy the views after a day full of entertainment, fine dining and enriching experiences.
ms Noordam will see the return of Holland America Line’s B.B. King’s Blues Club experience Down Under – B.B. King’s Blues Club is a dynamic eight-piece live show experience that takes place every night in the Queen’s Lounge. With performers hailing directly from the much-lauded B.B. King’s Blues Club in Memphis, the show has been thrilling Holland America Line guests over the past two years.
Following ms Noordam’s drydock in April 2015, LED screens were installed in the main show lounge which offer the ability to change out dynamic backdrops, making the stage shows even more vibrant and interactive.
The popular Dive-In has received refurbishments, along with The Greenhouse Spa & Salon, Ocean Bar, Pinnacle Bar, Crow’s Nest, Explorer’s Lounge, Neptune Suite and Atrium.
