FUN FACT: The next cruise ship to be based out of Brisbane has onboard entertainment produced by the same creative mastermind behind Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour!
True Blue, that cruise ship entertainment would be hard to outdo.
That ship is P&O Cruises’ Pacific Explorer which will homeport in Brisbane from October 2020 where she’ll provide at-sea beds to the 220,000+ Queenslanders travelling with the cruise line every year.
Replacing Pacific Dawn, Pacific Explorer will set off on 43 roundtrip cruises from Brisbane throughout her initial season, including the popular seven-night Pacific Island Hopper, the seven-night Main Event – a themed cruise to the Melbourne Cup -, a four-night Short Break to Airlie Beach, a 12-night Fiji Adventure itinerary and more.
In addition to on-land adventures, the cruise line offers guest entertainment “for everyone”, including The Love Riot, a show created by the creative director behind Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour Scott Maidment, that features dance, comedy, circus and acrobatics.
The ship also has a traditional Neapolitan pizzeria, a poolside grill by Australian chef and restaurateur Luke Mangan, as well as a bar featuring a cocktail list created by Archie Rose Distilling Co.
P&O Cruises’ 2020 program will go on sale on from 23 October 2018.
