Lindblad Expeditions has unveiled the inaugural voyages for the newest addition to their fleet, National Geographic Venture, which is set to join them from October.

The vessel, which will be made up of 50-cabins, is the second new build for the line and will be the sister ship of National Geographic Quest.

It will set sail on two brand new itineraries exploring America’s Pacific coast.

California Lindblad

The first voyage, Coastal California By Sea will see National Geographic Venture explore the beauty of California’s coast and islands.

It will leave San Francisco on December 2, 2018 for the five-night ‘left coast’ journey connecting Northern and Southern California, from the Golden Gate to Santa Catalina Island.

Sven Lindblad, CEO & Founder of Lindblad Expeditions will be on board for the first sailing.

The second inaugural voyage is From Southern California To Baja: Sailing The Pacific Coast.

It will leave December 7, 2018. Guests will experience the surprising diversity of the Pacific coast as the Venture travels from Los Angeles to La Paz, Mexico on a 12-night adventure.

Passengers will have the chance to discover the region’s food and wine, including a private lunch at a boutique vineyard in the Valle de Guadalupe.

There will also be the opportunity to snorkel in the vibrant undersea universe of Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park and meet the residents of Isla Natividad and learn the inspiring story of their sustainable fishing practices.

National Geographic Venture will have Zodiacs on board which can be dropped to get close to marine mammals and the shoreline.

Passengers can Kayak past nesting birds and dramatic coasts, or just enjoy the silence of a paddle.

There’s no need to worry about losing your fitness on board with the option to long hike with the wellness specialist o a short, slower walk with time for a naturalist to share the local medicinal uses of each plant you see.

For a relaxed trip, stay aboard and read, or enjoy a massage from a wellness specialist.

The ship will also feature the B&H photo gear loaner program, where guests can try the latest lenses, camera bodies and binoculars.
