Norwegian Cruise Line has added 24 new port-intensive cruises across Asia Pacific, bringing a total of 85 voyages from September 2024 to March 2026 – the most it has ever had in the region.
Sailings will depart from 15 ports, including Bali (Benoa) Indonesia; Bangkok (Laem Chabang); Seoul (Incheon), South Korea; Tokyo and Yokohama, Japan; Sydney, Melbourne and, for the first time, Cairns, Australia, and Lautoka, Fiji.
The sailings are on ships new to the region – Norwegian Spirit, Sun and Sky – and are the line’s first Northern Hemisphere summer cruises in Asia.
The new, nine to 19-day voyages will pull into port at more than 60 locations, including Albany, Busselton, Fremantle, Port Douglas and Townsville in Australia; Matsuyama and Niigata in Japan; Aitutaki in the Cook Islands; and Suva in Fiji.
Norwegian Cruise Line APAC Managing Director Ben Angell said the new itineraries are “in response to the strong demand for Asia as a destination”.

NCL overnight port stays
The new journeys include 36 overnight port stays in places such as Osaka, where guests will have time to explore some of the more than 1,600 temples; Himeji, Japan, home to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Himeji Castle; and Tokushima, Japan to visit the Tatsue-ji Temple.
Other overnight calls include Hong Kong, and Bangkok (Laem Chabang), home to temples and palaces, including the revered Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the opulent Royal Palace. And, for the first time, ships will overnight in Bali, Indonesia and the idyllic island of Lembark, Lombok.

Norwegian Spirit will debut in Asia on 26 May 2024 for a 10-day Japan cruise departing from Tokyo, returning for a season of nine to 15-day voyages to Japan and Southeast Asia, from 22 September 2024.
In December, Norwegian Sun will make her Australian debut, arriving in Brisbane and Melbourne on 18 and 21 December 2024.
She will sail a section of 12 to 15-day voyages between Australia and New Zealand, including a new collection of itineraries to the Great Barrier Reef and South Pacific between Cairns and Lautoka.
Agents can also take advantage of Partners First Rewards Incentive on select Australia, New Zealand, South Pacific or Asia sailings booked and deposited during Norwegian’s Close to Home sale.
