BUNDLES OF FUN: Royal Caribbean's next cruise ship will have a BUNGEE experience

Cruisers are going to want to strap in REALLY tight for this one because Royal Caribbean is taking adventure to a new level with bungee jumping at sea.

Cruisers are going to want to strap in REALLY tight for this one because Royal Caribbean is taking adventure to a new level with bungee jumping at sea.

Okay so technically Royal Caribbean isn’t letting guests leap head-first from the 12th floor (not they way daredevil Cesilie Carlton once did), but the cruise line IS allowing cruisers to jump around on bungee trampolines.

The newest onboard attraction will make its debut on the brand’s next ship, Spectrum of the Seas, inside the ‘Sky Pad’ where guests will receive a bungee trampoline experience mixed with virtual reality.

What this means is that cruisers will feel as though they’re jumping on another planet thanks to out-of-this-world images projected through VR headsets.

Those with weak stomachs may want to sit this one out.

The newest activity compliments the cruise line’s other staple onboard experiences such as the FlowRider surfing simulator, RipCord by iFly, North Star viewing platform and Two70 transformative venue, which will also be available on Spectrum of the Seas.

Other highlights of the 4,246-passenger vessel include ‘Star Moment’, a karaoke venue where guests can belt out and sing like stars and the Ultimate Family Suite, an exclusive room spread out across two levels and equipped with three bedrooms, kid-friendly space, an in-suite slide and a recreation room.

Sadly, Spectrum of the Seas will not cruise to Australia (not yet!) but will make her debut in Barcelona in April 2019 where she’ll set off on a 51-night cruise to 13 countries before arriving in her new home at Shanghai in June 2019.

Travel Agents have been advised that the vessel’s itineraries are now open for sale.
