Quark Expeditions has just released fresh renderings of their “game-changing polar expedition ship”, Ultramarine, which will set sail in the Antarctic 2020-21 season.
The 199-guest newbuild which is under construction at Croatia’s Brodosplit yard, features Quark’s distinctive yellow “Q” logo across the full height of the ship.
New interior renderings reveal Ultramarine’s spacious suites together with the ship’s main restaurant, panorama lounge, lecture theatre, ready room, polar boutique, spa, sauna and fitness centre.
President of Quark Expeditions Andrew White said he was “proud and excited” to see the vision behind Ultramarine come to life”.
“From the bold exterior to the comfortable, contemporary interior, our internal and external teams have come together to create a truly unique ship that will present unprecedented possibilities for our guests”.

The ship has 102 suites across nine categories, including six solo suites with floor-to-ceiling windows and the largest entry-level twin suites of its class.
Each suite has been designed with spacious entryways and spa-inspired bathrooms with heated floors throughout. Balconies will feature in over 60% of the suites and the six solo suites will have floor-to-ceiling windows.
Ultramarine will have two twin-engine helicopters, 20 quick-deploy Zodiacs and a “best-in-class” 70-day operational range.
There will be a large offering of off-ship adventure options including flightseeing, heli-hiking, heli-skiing, sea kayaking and paddle boarding.
Ultramarine’s inaugural season is expected to go on sale later this year.
