Abu Dhabi has what it takes to be a star on The X Factor Australia as the city makes its first appearance on the talent show during tonight’s episode.
Over one million Aussie viewers will be exposed to the culture, buildings and colours of the UAE capital when the show’s 24 contestants descend upon its most iconic locations.
Timed with the launch of TCA Abu Dhabi’s annual brand campaign, The X Factor Australia will broadcast its Super Home Visits from Abu Dhabi, the first time the show has visited the Arabian Peninsula.
TCA Abu Dhabi Director of Promotions and Overseas Offices, Mubarak R. Al Nuaimi said the show will help expose the destination to potential visitors and contribute to the growth in Aussie visitors.
According to the bureau, the number of Australian arrivals has grown by 10 percent every year for the last four years.
“Our involvement in The X Factor Australia has enabled us to showcase Abu Dhabi, introduce newcomers to our renowned hospitality and demonstrate the diversity of the destination.”

As part of the segment, the show’s 24 contestants will visit several of Abu Dhabi’s popular attractions including one of the largest waterparks in the UAE, Yas Waterworld, the luxurious Observation Deck at 300 located at Jumeirah at Etihad Towers Hotel, the exclusive Saadiyat Beach Club and the mega shopping oasis that is Yas Mall.
Contestants and judges will also experience the majesty of Yas Links; Arabia’s only true links golf course. Set among rolling hills and delicate mangrove plantations, Abu Dhabi has an outstanding golf offering, with Yas Links taking the lead as one of the best courses on offer.
This isn’t the first time Abu Dhabi has turned to popular culture to help promote the destination. Earlier this year, the destination was one of the highlights in Hollywood blockbuster, Fast & Furious 7.
