An adorable elephant was caught on CCTV footage proving just how unnatural borders are when it ever-so-naturally moved out of China and into Laos.
It was one small step for elephant, and one giant viral video for mankind with millions logging online to see the gorgeous creature casually cross between countries.
The animal used the dark of the night to travel out of China’s southwestern Yunnan Province and into Luang Matha in Laos.
The journey took place over the weekend.

Initially, the elephant went undetected by border patrol, but was later spotted and allowed to pass through peacefully – an unexpectedly tame reaction considering the violence that mounts against any human attempting to do the same without documentation.

Just goes to show how unnatural these man-made divisions and barricades are.
