Just when you thought Singapore’s Changi Airport couldn’t get any cooler, another AMAZING development is about to open there. This time it’s the world’s biggest indoor waterfall and an epic four storey forest.

On April 17 the spectacular new billion dollar development known as Jewel Changi Airport will open to passengers.

The ten-storey complex will span over 137,000 square metres, directly connecting to terminals 1, 2 and 3.

Four storeys will be the Forest Valley, featuring thousands of lush plants and trees with a 40-metre high Rain Vortex AKA, the world’s tallest indoor waterfall.

Oh, and at night the water feature will transform into a light and sound show. I mean would you expect anything less from Changi?

The new “lifestyle hub” will also feature 280 retail outlets, including a Pokemon Centre while passengers can get some shut eye at the new 130-room hotel, YOTELAIR Singapore Changi Airport, which will also be part of Jewel.

They will be able to enjoy early check in for their flight when staying at the new hotel and store their baggage so they can explore The Jewel.

Just in case you weren’t impressed enough already, we thought you should mention that the very top layer over the rainforest will be the GLASS FLOORED CANOPY BRIDGE – a 14,000 square foot walk way suspended 82 feet above the ground.

There will also be a Canopy Maze, Discovery Slides, for adults and children to enjoy and “Foggy Bowls” where children can play in clouds of smoke.

The Jewel of Changi was designed by architect Moshe Safdie, who also designed the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
