Brand USA has just informed us that 2018 is going to be BIG for them, as in one of the national tourism board’s BIGGEST years on record for Australia and New Zealand.

To give us a taste of the magnitude of 2018, Brand USA has released four of its biggest pieces of news for this year.


1 . Agents ‘Dash for Cash’ with Brand USA’s Latest Discovery Program Incentive

Brand USA’s official training site is celebrating a 45% increase in registered users in the last year.

To mark the occasion they’re launching a new incentive where agents need to complete any five (out of 40) badges to be entered into a draw to win US$2,500.

Mmm, yes MONEY!

Agents that complete 10 badges (including five already secured) will receive an additional two entries into the draw, heightening their chances.

The incentive runs from now until April 6 with the winner to be drawn on April 20.


2. MegaFam is BACK 



Brand USA’s 5TH MegaFam from Australia and New Zealand returns this year.

It will see 60 travel agents from Australia and New Zealand undertake six different, unique music and popular culture-themed USA itineraries.

This will include some first time destinations – not only for MegaFams but Brand USA MegaFams globally.

Oooh, where? I guess we will find out soon.

Following the fams, all agents will come together in one location for a grand finale gala, with music to support the launch of the Brand USA’s global film: America’s Musical Journey. 

A sales incentive will be introduced to select the lucky agents.


3. Brand USA and American Airlines Launch Ultimate All-American Dream Challenge for Agents 


We’re all over this already, but it’s a goodie.

Brand USA has teamed up with American Airlines to offer one lucky Travel Agent a $10,000 multi-destination trip to Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New Orleans.

The online competition asks travel agents to share their idea of a three-week dream USA itinerary including reasoning behind each choice of destination, accommodation and activity.

Agents will be judged on their accuracy, creativity and ingenuity.

4. Sydney Hosts Launch of America’s Musical Journey Film, with Morgan Freeman Announced as Narrator 

Later this year, Sydney will be one of the five global cities to receive a gala event for the new Brand USA film: America’s Musical Journey, starring Aloe Blacc and with Morgan Freeman as narrator.

The 3D Giant Screen documentary celebrates the diversity of cultures and the creative risk-taking that characterise America, as told through the story of its music.

The film follows Aloe Blacc as he traces Louis Armstrong’s footsteps through the colourful locals and cultures where America’s music was born.

Audiences will experience uniquely American adventures: think paddle-wheel boating up the Mississippi Delta, flash mob dancing in Chicago, or skydiving with Elvis impersonators above Memphis, Tennessee — in scenes shot specifically for the giant screen.

The date and location of the Sydney launch will be announced shortly.
