Not that anyone needs an excuse for a trip to Byron – But if you do, this is a fantastic last minute one.

This years event is being held at the newly opened deluxe beachfront resort Elements of Byron with the Symposium open to any individual or business interested in a greater involvement in the Byron region’s thriving tourism sector.

Keynote speakers for 2016 include; The Hon Stuart Ayres – Minister for Trade, Tourism & Major Events, Tourism Australia Managing Director – John O’Sullivan and CEO of Queensland Airports – Chris Mills.

The Symposium will also feature a lineup of speakers from destination marketing bodies, aviation and online travel distribution sectors sharing their insights on all things regional tourism and beyond.

Tracey Foxall of Booking.com and David Jones, Sales and Marketing Manger for Elements of Byron and Trudy Johnston from Bright Spark as well as Belinda and Julian Moore from Strategic Membership Solutions will also lead practical workshops in the afternoon sessions.

And at this time of year, you never who might show up.

The day will finish with Friday sundowners and the opportunity for delegates to network around the resorts famous poolside fire pit at sunset.
