With incredible live performances and ‘Manny’ the mannequin cutting up the dance floor, Contiki, kicked off their GRANDE celebrations for Europe 2019 last night at their 5th annual Contiki LEGENDS Party.
Let’s just say that there may be some legendary sore heads today… And mine may be one of them.
That’s because last night, agents and industry folk from all over Australia came together to form a 350-strong crowd that partied late into the night at Cake Wines in Sydney – at what many are saying was “the party of the year”.
‘Manny’ the mannequin raging hard on the Dfloor…
Among the guests were the finalists for ‘Contiki’s search for an ambassador’. After a month-long search and hundreds of submissions, the coveted role went to five lucky agents who were naturally thrilled.
The talented, winning agents will be kitted out with the latest GoPro equipment and are set to vlog, snap and ‘gram their way around an all-expenses-paid Contiki trip to live out their wildest wanderlust dreams.
Congratulations to all five winners below! And no, we’re not jealous at all. Sniff, sniff.
Vanessa Fletcher, Marketing Director, also introduced ‘Manny’ the mannequin, the (not so talkative) star of Contiki’s new European marketing campaign by saying;
“You get one shot at life, and Manny is here to show us that it’s those moments in between the icons that shape you – it’s in the people that you meet and those personal experiences that end up the best moments of your life!”
Fresh off the back of his Euro trip, guests took snaps with Manny as he posed in the photo booth and danced his little heart out as celebrations continued thanks to an exclusive performance by the fantastic Client Liaison.

The favourite Aussie indie-pop duo blew the crowd away with their wild performance and mash-up of their best floor fillers in a festival quality performance that would have gone down well at Splendour in the Grass. Groove City then followed the synth-pop icons for a DJ and live guitar combo to end the night with a bang.

My final memory of the night was the smiling team Contiki faces handing out Krispy Kreme doughnuts as we all left the venue. I don’t even like them, but I was feeling so giddy after all of the dancing and excitement that I ate one anyway. Top work Legends.
