Four Flight Centre loyal customers from the UK have been whisked away to NSW, after winning a free holiday at an exclusive Destination NSW & Flight Centre hosted evening.
The winners were selected at the ‘Suitcase Party’ last week – an invite-only evet held at the Shangri-La Hotel in The Shard.
Some 100 VIP guests and loyal Flight Centre customers enjoyed an evening of glamour complete with a gala reception, NSW inspired menu and stunning views of the London skyline.
As part of the celebrations, those attending the event were offered the chance to win a holiday to a top-secret, long-haul destination.
Following much anticipation over the surprise destination, four lucky guests and their partners were chosen to win an incredible holiday each to New South Wales, Australia.
Flying with Qantas, the couples were whisked to London Heathrow before heading across to the other side of the world to experience an unforgettable 10-night ‘Journey’ discovering NSW, Australia’s most spectacular State.
As well as giving four guests the chance to experience Australia’s wonders first-hand, Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer, Sandra Chipchase said the event was a great opportunity to showcase Sydney and NSW to UK visitors.
She explained that the UK is a primary target for NSW, as it delivered nearly 340,984 visitors to the state for the year ending September 2014, with an average stay of 25 nights.
This is the bureau’s second big tourism move in the UK over the last few weeks, as it was followed by the arrival of Chelsea FC in Sydney this week.
