If you’ve heard it once this earlybird period, you’ve heard it a dozen times, but according to Flight Centre, there really is no better time to book a trip to Europe than right now.
According to the travel group, increased competition between Australia and the Old Continent has driven airfare prices down to the “best value in recent memory”.
Although they may not be record lows, there’s been some pretty damn attractive offers from $995 return through Royal Brunei Airlines, $700 fares along with discounted touring options and even completely free air transportation alongside cruise bookings.

On land, the offers have been equally attractive, with 10 percent discountd through Contiki, $500 travel credits through Beyond Travel and more.
Flight Centre’s Head of Product, Advertising, Sales and Marketing, Darren Wright, said travellers shopping around “can get a real deal right now”.
“It’s never been cheaper to travel and particularly with Europe earlybird fares, travellers can get a great deal right now.”

“Travellers can lock in a low priced airfare, enjoy the Christmas holiday period and then formalise – or cancel – their plans next year if they wish.
“Flexibility will continue to drive customer service in 2018 so this is our way of showing we’re delivering what our clients want.”
Wright continued, saying holidaymakers can pick up return Cathay Pacific flights from Sydney to London through the agency group from $1,229 per person, which is a saving of $460 on the corresponding fare in 2016.
There’s also the option to purchase a $149 ‘Captain’s Platinum’ package, ensuring travellers will receive a refund should they choose to cancel in the future.
