The bridge is called the ‘Cloudraker Skybridge’ and despite its alarming appearance, is safe thanks to 101 steel modules and four cables connecting the 130m long attraction.

Visitors who dare cross the overpass and stand on 12.5m extension will be well-rewarded for their bravery with a 360-degree views from Whistler’s Peak which includes the Coast Mountains, Rainbow Mountain and Black Tusk.

Cloudraker Skybridge is open year-round to all visitors, except during winter when it will only be accessible to skiers and snowboarders.

Special crews will be hired throughout the peak season to clear all snow from the bridge so visitors can cross it safely.

The suspension bridge is one of six construction projects underway on Whistler and Blackcomb Mountain as part of a $66 million dollar investment by Vail Resorts. Other attractions coming soon include a new Blackcomb Gondola, Catskinner and Emerald Chairlifts, Roundhouse Patio Deck and an Umbrella Bar.
