Malaysia’s LEGOLAND® Resort breaks a record with Lego for Chinese New Year.

 

 

After an exciting month of festive activities and special building events in commemoration of Chinese New Year, Asia’s first LEGOLAND® Resort wrapped up celebrations in style with a new record entry into the ‘Malaysia Book of Records for the Most Number of Mandarin Orange Replicas Made of LEGO® Bricks’.

During Chinese New Year, mandarin oranges and tangerines are considered traditional symbols of abundance and good fortune, and are frequently displayed as decorations and presented as gifts during the annual two-week celebration.

Building activity commenced in early February and the record attempt was made successful thanks to the active – and very enthusiastic participation, of the resort’s guests, young and old, with the new the record officially set with 2,015 LEGO Mandarin Oranges.

But it doesn’t stop there. 2015 promises a continuous n array of unique activities and highlights lined up for Resort guests. Coming up, LEGOLAND Malaysia will be showcasing a brand new LEGO® Friends LIVE show at the Park. The show will feature a five-girl cast from the UK, original LEGO Friends music, and a script that was specially written for LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort. The show will open to public on 14 March and run until the end of June, with three performances per day.
