Over the past few days millions of people have stood in solidarity with France via social media, and the support hasn’t stopped there.
Numerous acts of kindness have been seen since the horrific terror attacks on Friday evening.
As the French prime minister François Hollande declared a ‘state of emergency’, many locals in the French capital showed their solidarity by offering various acts of kindness.

The French word ‘porte ouverte’ translates to ‘open door’, and that is exactly what many local Parisians offered – an open door to strangers who were in need of a safe place to stay.

People have shown their sympathies for the victims of the French terror attack by gathering around the world lighting candles, leaving flowers and singing songs.
