Tigerair Australia has been forced to cancel all flights in and out of Bali after a decision by the Indonesian government to enforce new ‘administrative’ rules on the airline for flights between Bali and Australia.
Daily Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth return flights to Bali are all currently under review until further notice.
An official statement from Tigerair said they were now ‘working with authorities to resolve the situation.
“Tigerair was and is in compliance with all original conditions imposed by the Indonesian Government on the operation of its Bali services. Tigerair is working with the relevant Indonesian authorities to meet the new requirements as soon as possible.”
According to reports, some 170 passengers were left on the ground at Adelaide airport this morning and had to make alternative arrangements to get them to Bali.

Full refunds were reportedly given to passengers with some managing to secure a seat with Singapore airlines at a much higher fare.

At the time of writing there was no offical announcement on the campaigns Social media pages.
NOTE: All other Tigerair domestic flights are not affected by this decision.
