This could include promoting tourism to destinations like Alice Springs, Ayers Rock, Kings Canyon and more.

“As Tourism Minister, it’s also pleasing to see our two jurisdictions working more closely on promoting visitation to iconic destinations in Central Australia.”

The MOU will remain in place for five years.

The agreement is the latest in a range of initiatives from the Northern Territory to boost tourism to the Top End and Red Centre.

Mr Giles said the pop-up gave Sydneysiders a chance to experience the NT and sample some of the unique ‘Territory flavours’ available on a holiday to the destination.

Sixteen holiday operators were also in attendance to showcase their products and offer holiday packages, while Today Show host Lisa Wilkinson stopped by for a pic with a baby crocodile (see main image).
