He’s the man of… not steel, but rather wax and mechanics as the first moving figure in Madame Tussauds’ entire international collection & he can be found right here in Australia.

The Darling Harbour attraction made history last night as it unveiled a new exhibition called Justice League: A Call For Heroes, featuring a life-like wax figure of Henry Cavill’s Kal-El (Superman) that moves.

Yes, the wax figure actually moves.

The last son of Krypton’s replica stops a helicopter and its passengers from crashing into Metropolis by raising it over his head. Visitors can assist in the rescue mission or play around by hanging off the helicopter as Superman saves the day.

Watch below for a better idea of how it works:

The Superman figure is one of four DC heroes to feature in the new exhibit, along with Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck’s Batman and Ezra Miller’s The Flash.

Speaking to KARRYON, comedian, self-confessed geek, existing Tussauds figure and last night’s host Rove McManus, described the Justice League collection as the most interactive and immersive.

He stressed that it’s not “just a lot of famous people standing around” but rather an opportunity for fans to play and feel as though they’re part of the team.

“There is a screen to activate each figure, there’s a mission back-story and there’s a mission to complete at each station. It’s incredibly immersive and interactive and it feels like you’re walking onto a film set.”

Rove continued, saying that the quality of the figures is also incredible, particularly Wonder Woman who is so realistic it’s “like she’s going to start talking”.
