FCTG Independent adds new and returning stars to its network

FCTG Independent continues to expand with the addition of two travel professionals, one a familiar face to the network and the other a fresh face to the group.

FCTG Independent continues to expand with the addition of two travel professionals, one a familiar face to the network and the other a fresh face to the group.

Caleb van Schmal makes the switch from Flight Centre to FCTG Independent, while The Cruise and Travel Store owner Belle Goldie returns after a stint outside of the organisation.

Bringing a wealth of experience to FCTG Independent, van Schmal says he is “ready for a change from the traditional retail environment”.

“FCTG Independent has given me the flexibility to carve out my own path, allowing me to operate on my own terms,” he adds.

“This platform respects my knowledge and trusts my expertise, granting me the freedom to sell what I want, in the way that I deem best.

“With comprehensive support and an extensive product range at my disposal, my primary focus is, and always will be, on creating unparalleled client experiences.

“It’s refreshing to not just fit into a pre-existing model but to create my own status quo within the supportive framework of FCTG Independent.”

Goldie, meanwhile, says that her comeback to FCTG Independent “feels like returning home”.

“The unmatched support, community, and technological resources here provide the perfect foundation for delivering exceptional service to our clients,” she states. “I am thrilled to be back, along with my incredible team, who are eager to embark on this next chapter of my career with FCTG Independent.”

FCTG Independent says it provides a supportive and innovative platform for travel agents and agencies, and that its two new members are a testament to this.

“The addition of Caleb and the return of Belle to our network are significant milestones for FCTG Independent,” FCTG Independent Australia General Manager Nick Queale says.

“Their diverse experiences and shared commitment to excellence are extremely welcomed. We are excited to support them and are looking forward to what the future brings.”

FCTG Independent recently launched its new flagship brand to the market called Envoyage. According to the group, Envoyage, will be a central hub for independent travel agents and agencies, featuring a modern look that reflects the group’s global reach, advanced technology and varied products. Envoyage will also expand into areas like corporate and luxury travel.

Last month, the group announced the signing of a raft of preferred suppliers for the new hub to engage with more than 400 agencies Australia-wide and 1,400-plus globally in the USA, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.
