Scenic’s brand-new Discovery Yacht, Scenic Eclipse II, has completed her build and sails from Croatia after a departure ceremony to commence her maiden season with an inaugural voyage from Lisbon, Portugal on 13 April 2023.
Scenic Eclipse II is a near-identical sister ship to Scenic Eclipse and one of the world’s most technologically advanced ultra-luxury yachts.
Guests aboard Scenic Eclipse II will see enhanced features including next-generation submarine Scenic Neptune II, new experiences in the Senses Spa and a larger pool, outdoor area and Panorama Bar on Deck 10.
The Discovery Yachts are unique – equipped to handle extreme and diverse conditions from polar regions to tropical waters and can access smaller ports.
MKM Yachts, an ultra-luxury shipbuilder and subsidiary of Scenic Group, built the yacht at its Rijeka shipyard in Croatia.
The new Discovery Yacht will sail 4,005km around Italy across the Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar before arriving in Lisbon.
Scenic Eclipse II will then embark on her debut sailing – an 11-day Iberian Discovery voyage from Lisbon to Barcelona.
Her inaugural season will also include voyages in the Mediterranean, Scotland, the Americas, the Caribbean, Antarctica and the Arctic.
In April 2024, the Discovery Yacht will sail from Newcastle, where Scenic began 37 years ago before a season in the Kimberley and also visit the South Pacific and Indonesia.
