Hong Kong Airlines drops Sydney-HK return fares for $129 return (+ taxes)

Fancy a Hong Kong getaway for less – or in this case, way, way less? To help celebrate the launch of its upcoming daily Sydney-Hong Kong flights, Hong Kong Airlines has rolled out an exclusive airfare deal for travel professionals.

Until midday 12 May 2025, eligible industry partners can nab return flights from Sydney to Hong Kong for just $129 in Economy Class (plus taxes) or $2,099 in Business Class (plus taxes). Now that’s a heck of a deal, no matter which way you look at it.

The offer is open to full-time staff working at licensed travel agencies, tourism boards, hotels, airfreight companies, airport services and other travel-related businesses.

  • Economy Class: AUD 129 + taxes

Hong Kong Airlines announced the launch of its Sydney flights, which commence on 20 June, earlier this year.

“The arrival of Hong Kong Airlines will enhance opportunities for trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between Sydney and Hong Kong, delivering significant economic benefits to New South Wales, and Australia,” Sydney Airport CEO Scott Charlton said at the time of the announcement.

In January 2025, Hong Kong Airlines also touched down at Gold Coast Airport, reinstating the direct route for the first time since 2018.

This week, the Hong Kong Tourism Board revealed a strong surge in arrivals for the first quarter of 2025, with Aussie visitation to the city-state up 32 per cent year-on-year.
