In less than four months, Melbourne will be home to a ‘golden’ hotel featuring the largest event space in the southern hemisphere as well as high-quality design and luxuries.
The $150 million Novotel Melbourne South Wharf is in its final stages of construction and although it’s not quite ready for visitors, it’s developed enough for us to get our hands on a few early images.
Located in the redeveloped South Wharf precinct, the 26-storey property distinguishes itself from its Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) neighbours thanks to its golden exterior. Actually golden…
In March 2018, it will give travellers access to some 347 guestrooms, each of which Novotels says will “set a new gold standard” in room design – this is thanks to designers at Woods Bagot, NH Architecture and Fender Katsalidis and Woods Bagot.
Rooms will be located on levels 7-26 and will have the latest technology in proximity sensor door locks. Feel safe?
Every room will have built in wardrobes, luggage racks, study spaces and mini bars with additional storage (YAS!).
Guests will be able to freshen up in front of the vanity with back-lit illuminated mirror design and wash up in walk-in showers.
Those travelling for work purposes will spend time in the largest event space in the southern hemisphere, measuring at 70,000 square meters.
