Janu Tokyo is the first of 12 planned properties under Aman Group’s new lifestyle brand, opening to guests on 14 March 2024. Meaning “soul”, Janu aims to embody ultra-luxury hospitality and lifestyle experiences with leading wellbeing initiatives.

Located in the Azabudai Hills neighbourhood and the only hotel in the newly created community, the 122-room Janu Tokyo property features eight dining and social spaces, two Aman Essentials boutiques – the first standalone outlets outside an Aman resort – and a 4,000sqm spa and wellness centre.

Spanning four floors, the wellness centre is the standout attribute of the new hotel. It contains one of Tokyo’s largest gyms at 340sqm plus five group exercise studios, a 25m indoor lap pool and a heated lounge pool.

In addition, the wellness centre has two signature Spa Houses for up to four guests, a consultation room, a hair and nail salon and seven private treatment rooms.

The dining and socialising options include the Italian open-kitchen Janu Mercato and adjoining Janu Patisserie, Japanese-style Iigura for Edomae sushi and Sumi for sumibiyaki grill and Cantonese cuisine-themed Hu Jing alongside the Janu Grill, Lounge, Garden Terrace and Bar venues.

Across eight floors, Janu Tokyo’s rooms and suites span from 55sqm to 519 sqm – most with private balconies for city views – styled with Japanese minimalism and European elegance.

The 519sqm Janu Suite is one of the largest in Tokyo with 284sqm of residential living space, two balconies, a modern kitchen and bar counter, a six-person dining table, a separate study/library and a lounge.
