Hidden away on the coast of Cape Range National Park, UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Reef is one of Australis’s best kept natural secrets, and nestled amongst the sand dunes lies droolworthy Sal Salis, an intimate eco-luxe camp offering guests a peaceful escape in WA.

With many Australians choosing to holiday closer to home this year, the 2022 season is almost completely sold out.

In response, Journey Beyond has opened Sal Salis’ 2023 travel season earlier than ever before with an extended season, encouraging eager guests to secure their place in this intimate experience, where outback, reef and ranges meet and merge into one.

“Australians can finally realise their dream of travel and explore some of this country’s amazing natural wonders,” said Peter Egglestone, Chief Commercial Officer for Journey Beyond.

“Due to an increased demand for adventurous getaways, we’re opening the 2023 Sal Salis season for bookings and extending the season from the beginning of March, to coincide with the start of whale shark season, through to mid-November. “

Sustainability is a priority at Sal Salis, and the camp’s small environmental footprint has a big impact on guests.

Taking great care to protect the fragile ecosystem, 15 spacious Wilderness Tents and one stunning Honeymoon Tent are designed to blend with the dunes and are just metres from the largest fringing reef in the world.

Each has an ensuite, hot water shower, and comfortable bed with stunning views of the Indian Ocean.

The social heart of the camp is the recently refurbished Lodge. Here, guests enjoy all-inclusive gourmet dining with chef-prepared meals served communally each night.
