Under the sea: Next-gen Scenic Neptune II submarine to debut Down Under

Scenic’s newest submersible Scenic Neptune II will coincide with Scenic Eclipse II’s upcoming expedition voyages in Australasia, the South Pacific and East Antarctica in 2024 and 2025, offering an innovative and immersive underwater experience.

Scenic’s newest submersible Scenic Neptune II will coincide with Scenic Eclipse II’s upcoming expedition voyages in Australasia, the South Pacific and East Antarctica in 2024 and 2025, offering an innovative and immersive underwater experience.

Scenic custom designed the safety-certified Triton 660/9 AVA submersible in conjunction with Triton Submarines and the craft can accommodate nine passengers all facing outwards for clear views.

Scenic Director of Discovery Operation Jason Flesher said Scenic Neptune II’s clear acrylic hull was designed to give guests an immersive underwater experience.

Scenic Eclipse II’s inaugural Oceania season commenced on 13 March 2024, cruising from Valparaiso, Chile across the Pacific.

The 114-suite ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht arrives in Australia for the first time on 20 April 2024, offering journeys along Australia’s east coast, Top End and Kimberley regions; Indonesian Archipelago; South Pacific; New Zealand and East Antarctica over the next two years.

Standout itineraries include the all-inclusive 13-day Passage through Melanesia voyage from Cairns to Nadi via Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu with unrivalled underwater opportunities.

Along with the new submersible, Scenic Eclipse II will include two state-of-the-art helicopters and four SeaBob-Jets, allowing guests to glide below the ocean surface, and an expert onboard Discovery Team to provide deep insights into the destination.
