SIX SENSES voted world’s #1 Hotel brand for the 2nd year running

Six Senses Hotels, Resorts & Spas have been voted the world’s No. 1 Hotel Brand for the second year running by readers of the largest and most influential travel magazine in the United States - Travel + Leisure magazine.

Six Senses Hotels, Resorts & Spas have been voted the world’s No. 1 Hotel Brand for the second year running by readers of the largest and most influential travel magazine in the United States – Travel + Leisure magazine.

The trend in luxury towards a desire for wellness and sustainability-related properties continues to surge as a significant drawcard for people wanting more meaning from their stays.

This latest award only confirms how the brand satisfies its travellers through its core values of sustainability, pioneering wellness, unique experiences, local sensibility and heartfelt hospitality that begins with empathy for their customers.

The new luxury defined?

Across all of its properties, the Six Senses enduring purpose is to ‘help guests reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them.’

Receiving the awards at an exclusive cocktail celebration in New York City, Neil Jacobs, chief executive officer at Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas said,

“We are thrilled to receive this award for the second year in a row. On behalf of our entire community of hosts who care about creating out-of-the-ordinary experiences for our guests, we could not be more honoured and grateful by the readers of Travel + Leisure, who took the time to vote. It is a special joy to receive the award in New York, where our first US hotel – Six Senses New York – is under construction at The Eleventh and getting ready to open in 2019.”

Six Senses continues to win hearts and minds, with 2018 seeing the brand’s expansion to Fiji, Bali, Bhutan, Cambodia, Singapore and Turkey. The brand currently manages 16 resorts and hotels plus 31 spas.

Six Senses Yao Noi was also named the No. 1 Resort Hotel in Southeast Asia in the Travel + Leisure Awards.

Neil Jacobs went on to say that the brand is not just about the latest in luxury or outrageously beautiful locations (although those are important too), but also its sustainable practices and commitment to groundbreaking wellness initiatives.

“Guests want an understanding of where they visit and to feel in harmony with the local environment. There’s a greater consciousness and interest around personal health and the health of our planet.”

He added that Six Senses is careful to establish consistent quality and standards without being formulaic. “Each property brings our brand to life in their own playful and unique way. Our owners and travel partners are also key contributors in delivering this winning guest experience.”
