Flight Centre Travel Group’s hotel management division, BHMA, is expanding across Southeast Asia with its first contract in Thailand’s mountainous island of Phuket.
Less than a week after taking the reins of its first property in Vietnam, the recently acquired Flight Centre brand was named the management company for X2 Vibe Phuket Patong.
If the name sounds familiar, that’s because it’s a sister property to the hotel BHMA runs in Viet Tri, Vietnam.
The X2 Vibe Phuket Patong is made up of 131 rooms and five villas, a restaurant and bar, a spa, swimming pool, fitness centre, boutique shop, library and a meeting room.
Patong Beach is within walking distance of the property and Flight Centre says it has easy access to Patong’s dining and entertainment district.
Described as having a smart contemporary design with modern amenities, BHMA’s Managing Director believes the hotel is a “natural fit” for the brand.
“Phuket is an extremely popular travel destination and one of the main growth destinations for FCTG’s expansion strategy. This property is a natural fit for the X2 Vibe brand and for BHMA group.”
Kent Davidson, BHMA Managing Director
With the new property in its portfolio, Flight Centre’s BHMA now has control of 27 hotels across the X2 Resorts, X2 Vibe Hotels and Away Resorts brands.
