There's nothing minor about this hotel group

On Monday Anantara’s Mark Thomson and Per AQUUM Vice President Nick Downing hosted an evening in Sydney to share the Minor Hotel Group’s new updates.

Mark Thomson, Director of Public Relations and Communications at Minor Hotel Group together with Nick Downing, Vice President of Per AQUUM invited media to an evening event at Nel Restaurant in Sydney to present the Minor Hotel Group’s expansions.

Part of the company’s growth is the hotel group’s expansion in Africa.

Mr Downing also revealed the new era of PER AQUUM including the plans to add one hotel per year over the next five years as well as the brand’s new identity along with the collection of original properties  – PER AQUUM Huvafen Fushi and PER AQUUM Niyama in the Maldives and PER AQUUM Desert Palm in Dubai.

Essque Zalu Zanzibar will be transformed into a PER AQUUM resort by the end of 2015.

Mr Thompson could also reveal that Anantara has launched a new CSR program called Dollars For Deeds.

Originally launched for the Thailand properties, Dollars For Deeds allows guests to donate $1.00 per night which will go to the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation (GTAEF) in Chiang Rai, the Mai Khao Marine Turtle Foundation in Phuket and the Princess Sirindhorn Craniofacial Centre at Chulalongkorn Hospital in Bangkok.  For every $1.00 that guests donates Anantara the will match the donation dollar for dollar.

The guests at the event were in high spirits when it was announced that 17 prizes would be given away throughout the evening including stays at the Hotel Group’s various properties.
