For the past several months members-only, travel reporting group, Luxury Travel Intelligence has been piecing together a list of the 12 Best Luxury Hotel Brands in the World.

Luxury Travel Intelligence is quick to warn that this not just an old ordinary ‘best of’ list. This is a list based on science.

How so, you ask? They used a “sophisticated algorithm” that analysed 118 significant points in the luxury hotel industry.

The hotels were then scored, with a maximum score of 4,320 possible points, to create the coveted list.

“The 118 touch points relate to the overall brand performance, rather than its individual properties,” Founder of Luxury Travel Intelligence Michael Crompton explains.

“It’s all about the brand’s ability to deliver: its passion, commitment, ethos and values, as well as the quality of its management and staff.”
