Martin Kendall, Hilton’s NT General Manager said refurbishments ‘set a new standard’ for the city’s upscale hotel market.

“The renovations have introduced a new standard of luxury to Darwin, and coupled with the hotel’s stunning harbour views and ideal CBD location, have further cemented Hilton Darwin’s position as the city’s premier hotel for business and leisure.”

Health and wellbeing plays a large role in travel these days, especially for business travellers. Meeting this demand, the hotel used some of the millions of dollars to install a new Fitness Centre.

Located adjacent to the outdoor pool on the 10th floor it has weight, cardio equipment and more.

All 236 guest rooms, lobby hallways and entertainment areas were upgraded. This meant replacing some carpet, furniture and potentially even new paint on the walls.

Guest rooms and public areas now feature energy efficient lighting as well as light tiling with dark pure wool carpets, solid timber and leather furniture, all new local artworks, muted wallpapers and natural tones for a warm and comfortable ambiance.

Guests can also enjoy the granite vanities and frameless glass screens in the new bathrooms.
