Good news for Qantas Club members: the airline is giving out six-month extensions, until at least March next year.

If you’re sad that your Qantas Club Card has not been getting the exercise it usually gets, you’ll be pleased to know that Qantas is giving its Club members and additional six months of membership, due to state border restrictions and lounge closures.

“We understand your travel plans may have been impacted this year, and it continues to be a challenging time for everyone, so we are giving eligible Qantas Club members extended access to all membership benefits for another six months,”

The six-month extension applies to all Qantas Club memberships valid as of 23 September 2020.

An update on Qantas’ website states that “If you had an active membership as of 23 March 2020, we’ve applied an automatic six-month extension to eligible paid Qantas Club memberships and most complimentary lounge invitations.”

There is no need to contact Qantas, the extentison will be automaticalled added by the end of this month.

You can check your membership details on My Account or via the Qantas App, as the airline won’t be issuing new membership dates to refect the date extensions. However, if you’re an eligible member, you will be able to view your new ‘digital card’ showing the new expiry date, ready for your next adventure.

Qantas also stated, “if you have purchased an Annual Guest Card, this will also be extended for a further six months. If the Annual Guest Card membership year ends between September 2020 and August 2021, your existing guest card can be used to gain entry to the lounge for the additional six months.”

New Qantas Club membership joins or renewals are currently unavailable.
