Excite Holidays has a new 10-page guide, and a stack of great prizes and rewards, to get you fired up about Fiji.
Can you get bored of paradise? Many Australians think they know, or have “done”, Fiji but they have really only dipped their toes into the tropical waters. With more than 50 resorts spread over 300+ tropical islands there is so much more to experience on a Fijian holiday if you just go a little further – whether you like overwater luxury, family fun or a taste of adventure.
Excite Holidays wants agents to reconnect with our near neighbour by looking at what Fiji has to offer beyond the beaches and palm trees. Excite has a new guide to help get you going, a Facebook competition to keep you interested and a rewards scheme for agents booking this fantastic destination.
Here are a just a handful of places to get excited about in Fiji:
The Suncoast
Swap a resort stay for a self-drive holiday along the Suncoast where you can climb to Fiji’s highest peak or experience traditional village life. This is a tropical trail for the adventurous where you can hike for miles through the ancient trails of Koroyanitu National Heritage Park or dive with turtles and pilot dolphins on the remote island of Vatu-i-ra.
Vanua Levu
Fiji’s second largest island has none of the hustle and bustle of Denarau, instead you will find a far more laidback destination where you can plunge into a marine reserve full of colourful coral or enjoy the hot springs in the main town of Savusavu.
Savusavu is set on a protected harbour and attracts the yachtie crowd while further north you come to the rolling green hills of Labasa, home to sugar plantations and the fascinating Snake Temple where worshippers pray to Naag, the Hindu Snake God.
Taveuni
For an even wilder take on Fiji head to Taveuni an island filled with lush vegetation and hidden waterfalls. At Tavoro Falls in the Bouma National Heritage Park travellers can take a plunge in one of three falls or you can take on the natural rock water slide at Waitavala.
This is the Garden Island, so visit the Gaiatree Sanctuary where you will find organic spices and superfoods growing naturally in the region.
Nadi/Denarau
Despite being one of the first stops for many visitors, Fiji’s main island and resort complex is constantly evolving. Check out Malamala, the island’s newest beach club just a short boat ride from Denarau, or try Cloud 9, a floating pontoon bar and restaurant.
Stay engaged and win
Excite Holidays guide covers all this and more with sections on more popular spots like the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands so check it out here.
But you can also win great Fiji-inspired prizes by taking part in the “14 Days of Fiji” giveaway a two-week prizefest on Excite’s Facebook page – just answer the daily question for your chance to win.
Agents can also benefit from the incentive and rewards points, where you receive 500 bonus rewards points for every night booked and paid for in Fiji during the campaign period.
