Virgin Australia powers up airline retail solutions for customers with SabreMosaic AI platform

Virgin Australia (VA) is the first airline to adopt the full SabreMosaic AI-driven platform to deliver tailored fare solutions with dynamic and competitive pricing across all booking channels to meet customer needs and market demand.

Virgin Australia (VA) is the first airline to adopt the full SabreMosaic AI-driven platform to deliver tailored fare solutions with dynamic and competitive pricing across all booking channels to meet customer needs and market demand.

It marks the airline’s transition to an offer- and order-based approach for future-focused retailing and an enhanced customer experience after renewing its Sabre GDS agency agreement last year.

For Virgin Australia, the implementation of the new suite over time will allow the airline to optimise offers, improve customer interactions and boost loyalty while gaining a competitive advantage in the market.

With more than half of all Virgin bookings through direct channels, the carrier can strengthen loyalty by offering a seamless booking experience and unified brand interaction across all customer touchpoints.

For customers, the gradual adoption of SabreMosaic means the carrier can provide personalised pricing and bundled services, seamless booking and rewards for the whole journey and across all devices and real-time pricing and communication.

What’s in it for travel advisors? With its modular, open technology AI-powered platform, SabreMosaic marks a move away from the traditional booking systems based on passenger name records (PNRs) to a more modern retail solution designed for capabilities beyond the airline ticket.

Sabre solutions extend the airline’s reach to travel agencies and aggregators, ensuring seamless access to the carrier’s products and services.

“SabreMosaic is future-focused and customer-centric and will propel us to new retailing heights. We are excited to partner with Sabre to lead the industry in modern airline retailing,” he said.

“We aim to empower Virgin Australia to deliver a personalised, dynamic travel experience that will set a new standard in the industry.”
