Last night, on World Tourism Day 2017, AAT Kings officially launched its new Australia 2018/2019 brochure with an Australia-themed event full of delicious treats, fun surprises and a generous donation.

Guests were taken on a journey of the senses through a land of plenty, being treated to a smorgasbord of Australian themed culinary delights and signature cocktails including mango based Western Wonderland, rich earth coloured Outback Adventure Negroni as well as the crisp and fresh Perfect Tasmanian.

Hans Belle, Managing Director of AAT Kings, addressed the crowd about the new offering, which showcases over 40 itineraries across the Guided Holiday, Short Breaks and Inspiring Journeys trip styles. He also unveiled the brand new Victoria’s Hidden Gems itinerary for 2018 in the luxurious Inspiring Journeys portfolio, which unearths the secrets of the vibrant and naturally beautiful state.

Throughout the evening, guests also experienced a meet and greet with AAT Kings Travel Directors by using Augmented Reality app, Zappar.

A dessert grazing board surprised and delighted guests – filled with classic Australian desserts, completely reimagined. Highlights included The Green & Gold Pineapple, lime & ginger-nut cheesecake, Iced Vovo Marshmallow Mousse cups and the centrepiece of a three-tiered lamington cake with raspberries and buttercream.

Belle also discussed AAT Kings sustainable tourism initiatives in light of World Tourism Day. AAT Kings is proud to support a number of important projects with a focus on wildlife conservation in Australia – including the Save the Tasmanian Devil Appeal to protect these endangered mammals from the fatal Devil Facial Tumour Disease (DFTD) epidemic; their donation supports vaccine research and works towards finding a solution to conserve Australia’s native wildlife.

AAT Kings has also teamed up with Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors to support the Koala Rehabilitation Project at their Wildlife hospital – the country’s busiest wildlife facility. Along with koala rehabilitation, they also support the building of ecofriendly habitats to protect the sick and orphaned.

To celebrate World Tourism Day, on guests’ behalf, AAT Kings made a donation to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital to assist in continuing their important work rehabilitating and caring for injured and orphaned koalas – with all attendees taking home an official certificate of thanks.

Guests took home gift packs from renowned Tasmanian vineyard Josef Chromy, which AAT Kings’ guests visit on a selection of its Tasmania itineraries.
