After much demand and customer feedback, Beyond Travel has decided to take its clients to one of 2017’s top countries to visit and a hot Game of Thrones destination – Iceland.

The tour operator revealed the new destination in its recently released 2017 Russia & Beyond brochure, saying Iceland was added after receiving guest feedback for new Scandinavia product.

Meeting demand, Beyond Travel added a variety of Iceland options to the brochure, which is also the largest and most comprehensive to date.

Beyond Travel is offering tailor-made itineraries such as an eight-day coastal voyage, ‘The Land of Fire & Ice’ cruise, sailing from Reykjavik to Akureyri or vice versa and taking in majestic coastal scenery with cruising through remote fjords, port visits to some of Iceland’s best kept secrets, picturesque fishing villages, volcanic landscapes and plenty of opportunities for wildlife spotting.

Marketing Manager Bryce Crampton said Beyond Travel is hoping to make the destination “more accessible” to Australian travellers after seeing the great surge of interest in independent travel in Russia and Scandinavia.

“This unique destination is fast becoming the place to visit for 2017.”

“It is known to be somewhat difficult to access but with our new product range including escorted touring, self-driving tailor-made tours and coastal voyages – we have made it more accessible to a range of Australian traveller markets.”

As for the expanded product range in Scandinavia, Mr Crampton said that the feedback from Travel Agents to the expanded services and product this year was overwhelmingly positive and the trade response encouraged Beyond Travel to offer an even wider choice of hotels, tours and sightseeing options for 2017.
