She then returned to helloworld’s wholesale division in 2011 when she was appointed Manager National Industry Sales.

Egglestone said Dalton leaves the company with “blessing” and thanked her for her “amazing contribution and hard work”.

“This is well-deserved recognition of Fiona’s expertise and also of our Qantas Holidays/Viva! Holidays business as a training ground for highly-skilled, market-leading travel professionals.”

The recruitment process for a new GM of Sales is underway.

“We will be replacing her role in Sydney as part of the new structure which will be implemented as we progress through the integration with AOT,” he added.

Dalton’s departure from the helloworld wholesale division comes less than a fortnight after the travel group announced a shakeup of its executive roles.
