Flight Centre CFO shifts to a senior role

Flight Centre's current Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Andrew Flannery has received a promotion to a senior leadership role within the company.

Flight Centre’s current Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Andrew Flannery has received a promotion to a senior leadership role within the company.

The announcement comes seven years after Flannery was appointed CFO, and will see him take on the title of Executive General Manager of Flight Centre’s Australian corporate travel business. This includes overseeing the FCm Travel Solutions, Corporate Traveller, Stage & Screen, cievents, Campus Travel and 4th Dimension brands.

According to Flight Centre, these brands generate 30 percent of the company’s total transaction value in Australia, making it the company’s second largest operation globally behind the Australian leisure business.

Flannery will transition into the role once a new CFO is appointed. Flight Centre expects a replacement will be found within the business.

The company’s Managing Director, Graham Turner, said Flannery is an experienced leader with an understanding of the business.

“He has played a role in helping to set the corporate business’s strategy and monitoring its performance in recent years in his capacity as a member of our global senior management team or Task Force.”

Flannery said he’s excited to oversee the business and looks forward to embarking on the ‘next growth phase’.

In his new role, Flannery will report to Flight Centre’s Chief Operating Officer Melanie Waters-Ryan.
