Expedia has confirmed it has completed its $703 million acquisition of the online flight and accommodation seller, Wotif.com.
For the moment, both companies are operating business as usual. However, Expedia is working closely with the Wotif Group team to evaluate the long-term strategy.
This could potentially include merging them into one.
“Since announcing the acquisition, we have spent a considerable amount of time exploring options for how to best help the Wotif Group be positioned for future success,” Expedia said in a statement.
“We will be working closely with the Wotif Group management team to expedite the evaluation and to finalize the path forward in the coming weeks. Until the plans are finalized, we expect it will be business as usual for the Wotif Group.”
