Portrate departs helloworld

Helloworld has confirmed the departure of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Kim Portrate after a review of the company’s marketing operations.

As reported by KarryOn yesterday, Portrate departed the business on Friday.

Managing Director and CEO, Andrew Burnes, said the decision came after an assessment of the marketing team’s structure.

He said instead of reporting to a CMO, people in marketing will now report directly into the Retail division.

“Unfortunately this impacts Kim Portrate and as such Kim finished up with helloworld on Friday.”

He said Portrate has been a “valued part” of the Executive team who played a big role in the company’s major brand transformation from Jetset Travelworld to helloworld.

With her departure, Julie Primmer, the Head of Branded Network will manage the marketing team.

The announcement comes less than a day after helloworld confirmed Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Jenny Macdonald’s resignation as well as the departures of General Counsel and Company Secretary, Stephanie Belton; and General Manager Corporate Development, Andrea Slark.

Burnes assured that Macdonald’s decision to leave helloworld was her own and a global search for a replacement is currently underway.

“We expect to make an announcement about this in the next two weeks.”
