TC agents are heading to Canberra for the annual conference.

The event will be attended by Australian Travel Counsellors, head office staff, special guest speakers and a record number of suppliers including headline sponsor Travelport as well as key suppliers Etihad, QBE, Scenic and Royal Caribbean, plus a number of the global management team including Group Managing Director Steve Byrne.

Sydney based Travel Counsellor Christie-Lee La Chance said she’s keen to meet with colleagues and hear about the latest news and plans the company has in store.

“It’s also a terrific opportunity to stay on top of travel trends by hearing about the latest developments from suppliers, and after what has been a great year from my business.”

Travel Counsellors Australia General Manager Tracy Parkinson, who will also be attending the event, noted that the home-based agency goes from strength to strength and the conference acts as a catalyst to bring everyone together and share plans.

“It’s also a great way for agents to network with each other, celebrating their individual and collective success, and reflecting the very special ethos of care and camaraderie that remains at the heart of the company,” she said.

“We are really looking forward to seeing everyone at what promises to be a really inspiring and insightful event.”

On 16 January this year, Travel Counsellors announced it had ‘smashed’ an old record, by achieving a global sales total of $5.4 million. That’s $500,000 more than the previous best sale day in January 2014 of $4.9 million.
