Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced an increase in Brisbane services, returning its capacity to pre-pandemic levels.
From 16 June 2025, three additional weekly flights will bring SIA’s Brisbane route to 28 flights per week, or four daily services.
The carrier says the expansion meets strong demand for international travel into and out of Queensland.
The capacity increase follows the re-introduction of a fourth frequency on select days in August 2024, implemented ahead of schedule due to growing passenger numbers.

With the new flights, travellers can expect improved global connections, including fast routes to London, Zurich and Rome, plus enhanced links to Beijing, Shanghai and Johannesburg, among other routes.
The new flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. SQ265 departs Singapore at 7:10 am, arriving in Brisbane at 4:45 pm.
The return flight, SQ266, departs Brisbane at 6:10 pm, arriving in Singapore at 12:10 am the next day.
“Travel demand has been strong as Brisbane continues to grow as a major gateway and Queensland gains significance as a global destination for business and leisure,” Singapore Airlines Regional Vice President South West Pacific Louis Arul said.
“Singapore Airlines is pleased to offer more options for travellers to Singapore and connect to over 110 cities globally via Singapore Changi Airport.”

Brisbane Airport CEO Gert-Jan de Graaff said the “milestone announcement” marked the “end of a long five-year recovery on this critical route for Queensland”.
“The Singapore to Brisbane connection is our second busiest international route, bringing a constant flow of tourists from across Asia and Europe to Queensland.
“Last year, more than half of all visitors from India to Brisbane travelled via Singapore Airlines.”
Tourism boost
Echoing de Graaff’s positive outlook for tourism, Minister for the Environment and Tourism, Minister for Science and Innovation Andrew Powell praised Queensland’s Attracting Aviation Investment Fund (AAIF) and its impact on tourism and other exports.

“This means more international visitors coming to our great state, and greater choice for Queenslanders heading offshore,” he remarked.
“It’s also extra capacity for our awesome exporters, with more direct flights to get their produce to market in Asia.”
Tickets are available now through Singapore Airlines’ booking channels.
