Vancouver is already home to a thriving culinary community with established chefs and young professionals committed to using a wide range of high-quality products sourced locally and sustainably.

Destination Vancouver President & CEO Royce Chwin said: “The fusion of flavours and cultures, influences from the Pacific Rim and the abundance of the freshest ingredients from the ocean and land make the dining experience in Vancouver something very special.”

“We have long enjoyed tremendous acclaim for our culinary scene, and the Michelin Guide Vancouver further elevates the city’s reputation as a global dining destination.”

The big reveal

The first Michelin Guide Vancouver selection will be revealed in the Northern Hemisphere fall season and will showcase the outstanding restaurants and professionals with Michelin distinctions.

Anonymous inspectors award the coveted Michelin Stars, the Bib Gourmand selection of restaurants that offer great quality food at good prices and the Green Star for restaurants that are leaders in sustainable gastronomy.

“We’re thrilled to bring the Michelin Guide to Canada’s west coast and shine a spotlight on all Vancouver has to offer,” Michelin Guides International Director Gwendal Poullennec said.

“Our inspectors are already exploring Vancouver, eagerly diving into its wide variety of cuisines prepared with high-quality products and served in warm, casual atmospheres.
