Sydney Airport (SYD) will welcome four new dining venues at the T1 International Terminal this year with artisan sandwiches, barista coffee, handcrafted cocktails and Asian fusion fare on the menu, upping the premium international options for peckish travellers.
The new dining venues are EARL, BARista, East x West and Sydney Coffee Trader, rolling out from late October 2024 to the end of the year in partnership with Emirates Leisure Retail, which recently opened Gusto in the T1 International dining precinct.
BARista is the first to open this month in the food court before security, offering a premium coffee and cafe experience, including a Benedict Croissant, signature cheeseburger and Katsu Sando (crispy chicken sandwich).

EARL, launching in December 2024, brings its Sydney-centric (by way of Melbourne) premium sandwiches to T1 International as well as signature brew taps and seasonal drinks like yuzu-spiked cold brew and matcha oat lattes.

East x West, also set to open later this year beyond security, will offer East Asian and Western fusion fare, such as ramen, spring rolls, dumplings and handmade bao, alongside Sapporo Premium Black on tap, Japanese whiskies and craft cocktails.

Sydney Coffee Trader will set up shop in T1 Arrivals, partnering with Seven Miles Coffee Roasters and featuring a cafe-style menu that includes gourmet bagels and oversized sandwiches plus salads and chia puddings.
Earlier this year, Sydney Airport added three fast-casual faves to the T1 International dining mix.
The hub also recently announced it will partner with Lagardère AWPL for a new travel essentials retail concept in the T2 Domestic Terminal.
