Cruise bonanza! Virgin Voyages offers half-price sailings just for Virgin Australia customers

Virgin Voyages has unveiled a special deal just for Virgin Australia customers, offering cabins at half the normal price for all cruises on the Resilient Lady departing in January 2024. The deal comes on top of the already discounted inaugural summer sailing prices, which start at $149 per person per night.

Virgin Voyages has unveiled a special deal just for Virgin Australia customers, offering cabins at half the normal price for all cruises on the Resilient Lady departing in January 2024. The deal comes on top of the already discounted inaugural summer sailing prices, which start at $149 per person per night.

It also includes more than $1000 worth of luxuries that Virgin Voyages always provides including access to “Michelin-inspired” restaurants, unlimited fitness classes, essential drinks and WiFi services.

“When Virgin brands join forces, it means better experiences for all Aussies,” Virgin Voyages CEO Nirmal Saverimuttu said.

“We wanted to keep this one in the family and reward loyal Virgin customers. When Virgin Australia started in 2000, it was all about keeping the air fair. And we’re doing the same at sea.”

The deal was announced just days after 150-plus passengers on a Virgin Australia flight from Melbourne to Hobart were showered with a surprise gift from Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson himself – a free sailing worth $7,000 on Virgin Voyages Resilient Lady.

Virgin Voyages says the new offer makes a luxury summer holiday more affordable for Australians feeling the pinch of cost of living pressures.

“There will never be better prices to get on board to experience award-winning food, spas, entertainment and our incredible cabins decked out with our signature Virgin-red hammocks,” Saverimuttu said.

The Resilient Lady is currently on its way to Australia from Athens for its repositioning cruise for its first Aussie sailing season.

The ship is scheduled to reach Sydney on December 4 – and Branson will be flying to Australia to commemorate the debut of the cruise line down under.

Following this, the Aussie Mermaiden will depart from its homeport in Melbourne on December 11 for a five-night sailing to Tasmania.
