Wendy Wu Tours has this morning revealed that Andrew Mulholland will be returning as Wendy Wu’s Managing Director Australia effective March 2020.
It comes following the unexpected exit of Wendy Wu’s newly appointed Australian Managing Director Troy Ackerman less than three months into his appointment.
Tour company Founder Wendy Wu commented that she was “extremely pleased” to welcome Andrew back to lead the Australian business.
“Andrew brings a wealth of experience within product development, operations and change management areas. This is an area he executed extremely successfully during his time as MD in 2016/2017”.
“Andrew brings a track record of delivering sustainable and profitable growth. We are very much looking forward to having Andrew back at the helm, and together with our excellent Senior Leadership Team, driving the Australian business forward,” she concluded.
On his appointment, Andrew says he is looking forward to continuing to grow Wendy Wu Tours and reuniting with the strong leadership team in Sydney.
“As a business, we delight in servicing the needs of our new and existing customers, our product range and destination focus continues to grow to match this demand for good quality, well executed journeys exploring unique and exciting destinations,” he said.
“A focus will be working closely with our Head of Sales Tamba Lebbie and the trade to position us and our retail partners to bounce back from today’s challenges.”
Wendy Wu has recently launched new programs into South America and operates its own river cruise vessel on the Mekong, the Victoria Mekong.
